Biafra: Court discharges Nnamdi Kanu Embattled Director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu was on Wednesday discharged by a Chief Magistrate Court in Wise 2, Abuja led by Shuaibu Usman of all counts of criminal conspiracy and ownership of an unlawful society brought against him by the federal government. Delivering the verdict after the federal government had dropped the charges brought against Kanu, the judge ruled that, “The accused person is hereby discharged and the case struck out.” The Department of State Services (DSS) had withdrawn the case from the Chief Magistrate Court so as to pursue the case in a higher court, which has jurisdiction to entertain charges bordering on terrorism. The Lagos chapter of the APC had on Tuesday, issued a warning to the protesters against causing crisis in the state by carrying out protests.
